Embellish Learning with Multisensory Educational & Art Product Printing
There’s no golden rule that says learning has to be hard – or boring. On the contrary, joyful learning is a rewarding process for both the teacher and student.
For teachers trying to teach math—or or any other subject—or simplify a complex lesson into lighter, more engaging steps, there’s a world of special effects printing that can be used to create educational products that bolster a student’s learning process by sparking their imagination.
Color and creativity can take education far beyond the walls of an art classroom, and at H&H Graphics, our multisensory special effects print techniques have been used to create educational products, for home, school and work.
Bring a Pencil to Rainbow Reveal with Scratch-Off Paper
Bringing together the joy and anticipation of a reveal, our rainbow scratch-off paper looks like black matte paper when you pull it out of a pack. Drag a wooden stylus across it, however, and all the colors of the rainbow are revealed as you draw and write.
We recently developed a product for a children’s play company that included a printed block of notepads with a stylus. With it, kids can create cool illustrations, labels, and messages. They can surprise people, leave a bright, thoughtful note for others, or just take a few minutes to express themselves in a world of bright color.
Even repetitive handwriting lessons seem fun when a rainbow scrolls out between your crossed Ts and dotted Is.
Hydrochromic Inks For No-Mess Children’s Art
Hydrochromic special effects are another way to bring splashes of fun and art to a learning process. Here’s how it works: hydrochromic ink is screened over an image. The ink coating becomes transparent when it touches water, revealing a message or image underneath.
We recently used hydrochromic printing for a project with a national daycare chain. The posters we created doubled as an art project for the brand’s youngest clients, who swept wet paintbrushes across the surface to reveal a full-color picture beneath.
We frequently use this technique for water-themed promotions, like pools, water parks, vacations, or outdoor recreation. But the beauty of hydrochromic reveals is that they’re mess-free. Children can engage in a joyful learning session, and the only clean-up is a quick wipe-up of some water.
